Well, before I tell you about my professional qualification, experience and few achievements, let’s talk about something else. Let’s talk about Rashmi Rawat as a person, her family background, the place she belongs to, her personal life, hobbies, interests among other things

Basically I’m a garhwali. My roots are from Uttarakhand (Dev bhoomi). Born and brought up in a middle class family in Mussoorie. I’m a History graduate and have done my B.Ed too. I always wanted to marry a man in uniform. My love for uniform is beyond words. And the dream came true when I finally met my prince charming. A fighter pilot in the IAF. We have been happily married for 9 years and blessed with a beautiful 6 yrs old princess, Opal

Being a PAHADI, I have always been full of strength and stamina. I remember walking as far as 5-6kms with a hand or shoulder bag almost everyday in my school and college days. In hilly areas you will hardly find any reliable means of local transport. So,if you don’t have a vehicle or can’t ride or drive. You are left with no options but walking. I have always been passionate about fitness and i proudly say that I’m still in the same body frame as I was in my college days. Even during my pregnancy I had set a target for myself that no matter what I won’t let my weight exceed more than 10kgs and guess what? All I put on was 6.5kgs. My daughter was one healthy baby of 3.5kgs. She was born in 2010. Till 2013 I remained busy raising her up. Couldn’t give much time to myself. Though I was lean but I was certainly low on energy. So I decided to bounce back with full force.

I started hitting the gym, building my strength and stamina, taking care of my body and falling in love with myself once again. And from then onwards there’s no looking back. But still miles to go before I sleep

Other than fitness stuff what else keeps me busy. Well, being a mother my daughter keeps me busy and being a wife my home keeps me busy. When I’m not working out, I’m out in my lawn with my plants (love gardening) or reading something about health, food or fitness, writing journals for my page and website. By nature I’m a loner. I love my own company. I don’t like to be surrounded by people all the time. I eat to live. I don’t live to eat. I like travelling. I’m a huge animal lover.

The purpose of my life is to contribute in someway to make things around me better. Which seems simple but is really heartening when things change for the good.
