What I do everyday and recommend for keeping fit

  • Get up early
  • Have a glass of water (empty stomach)
  • Within half an hour of waking up eat something (a brown toast, a banana or handful of nuts)
  • Have a cup of green tea. Add ginger and cinnamon sticks to make it sweet. Don’t add sugar or honey to it. I certainly prefer to have it plain
  • From 9 to 10 AM, I go and take my fitness class which incudes cardio, weight training and strength training. Cardio twice a week. Rest 3 days strength and weight training. Saturday I go for a run. Sunday is my rest day
  • After coming back from my class I have a big wholesome breakfast may include Cheelas, poha, porridge and vegetable parathas (different for all 7 days). A glass of milk is mandatory for me with a bowl of fruits
  • Around 1:30-2 M I have my lunch. Daal, rice, sabji, roti, salad and curd
  • Tea around 4:30pm
  • 5:30pm to 6:30pm I go and take my evening fitness class
  • After my class I eat any fruit and handful of nuts
  • Maximum by 8.30 PM I’m done with my dinner(2 bowls of daal or a sabzi and one roti)
  • I go to sleep maximum by 10:30PM
  • Things I avoid : all kind of sodas, packed juices, all munches, alcohol, no maida at all, sugar, no extra salt (pickle, chatni and papad)
  • I don’t believe in dieting fads at all
  • I know what, when and how much I should eat. Basically I eat in moderation
